Mr. Scheerer began studying in Tae Kwon Do at Soon Ho lee's Academy of Milwaukee in 1976 at the age of 18 and remained at that school until 1979, when family took him away from the martial arts.
In 1989 Mr. Scheerer began studying Tae Kwon Do again, this time under the instruction of Mr. Jeff Kessenich, at the Oconomowoc Recreation Tae Kwon Do school.
Mr. Scheerer has studied Tae Kwon Do for 18 years and currently holds a third degree black belt, is a nine time men's tournament grand champion.
He is also currently in traditional Guru training in the Inayan system of eskrima, and currently a certified instructor in Kadena De Mano
Mr. Scheerer also holds rank in Danzan ryu Ju-jitsu under the instruction of Shihan Russ Rhodes.
